I don’t see it as a science because songs come very naturally to me, but I guess it could be. Sometimes I take a lot of time structuring a song and sometimes they feel pretty autobiographical. Sometimes a song can be somewhat of a study on a topic I’m interested in.
Hackney Diamonds is worth returning to because of how confident Jagger seems to be throughout—a great shift from A Bigger Bang, where it felt like he was mostly phoning the whole thing in.
Spotify allows me to create playlists of those songs and artists I enjoy. Furthermore folks, it even creates playlists on my behalf based on the searches I have made and my own created lists.
