COME WHAT MAY,…… don´t miss ´the arts´ this month, wherever you are
In the merry, merry month of May there are jazz blues and folk festivals across the UK and musiv, dance, theatre and visual arts all over Lanzarote

HERE´S ONE I MADE (well, cut and pasted) EARLIER
Of course, it is not only titles like The Book Of Days or the search engine equivalent that can pump a writer´s juices because all aspiring writers should be, and many established writers are, already, familiar with the huge benefits, to all types of writers, carried in a particular monthly magazine. I myself have been a subscriber for more than thirty years. Writing Magazine gives all sorts of tips from top writers to improve our creative writing skills but also offers pages and pages of sound business sense every month, and even helps us to network by sharing comprehensive lists of literary festivals and events and competitions. Writers, like my friend and Sidetracks And Detours reader Jenny Roche, keep an eye on what particular publishers are seeking and keep an eye on new trends and opportunities of publication, this offering subscribers, whether aspirant or established, new points of contact.

STOP IN THE NAME OF LOVE
"I grew up in Crimea but I also had a Ukrainian passport and now my heart is divided, my friends and family are Ukrainians and Russians, too. It's a disaster,"

APPLIED ARTS contribute to our well-being

The Arts Go MARCHing on in 2022
We have already seen nearly twenty musical events and visited a number of visual arts exhibitions in 2022. We have even followed guided walks and talks to review here in the arts and culture section of Lanzarote Information. Since lockdowns lifted here on Lanzarote many measures and protocols have been eased and the arts (and we who love the arts) have been grateful beneficiaries of those moves.

JORDI SAVALL CELEBRATES SARAMAGO.
Haydn´s work serves as a meditation on the gravity of tragedy, as well as on the possibilities of hope and redemption. It is music of great weight as well as great transparency, coupling profound directness of affect with ennobling humility´.

AN ISLAND REMEMBERS
My column here at Lanzarote Information and my own daily blog at Sidetracks And Detours are each English Language publications. At Lanzarote Information I aim my writing at new English residents and visitors to Lanzarote by reporting, usually through offering news, interviews, previews and reviews, on the island´s arts offer. Sidetracks And Detours looks at the global arts scene and particularly at singer songwriters but Lanzarote arts events are also included.

THE DESIGNER OF YOUR LIFE
At a stage in the world´s orbit that sees our working environment and opportunities changing before our very eyes it is perhaps more vital than ever that those moving into the non-traditional workplace receive clearer guidance on how to create their own new self-support systems as the old ones begin to disappear.
