we Since looking at a couple of our favourite songwriters yesterday, in Sidetracks & Detours, our writing team, (music-lovers all) have been constantly discussing particular songwriters, such as Townes Van Zandt,, Guy Clark, John Stewart, Nanci Griffith and Mary Chapin-Carpenter (American all). We therefore added a couple of great British song-writers ,  and the names that fell out in conversation included Gary Hall, Richard Thompson, Elvis Costello, the wonderful late John B Spencer and Julie Matthews.ti

JAZZ JUNCTION

Walkin’ After Midnight, a new collection of twelve previously unreleased Eva Cassidy live tracks, will be released digitally (September 6) and on physical media (November 8) via Blix Street Records. Recorded on November 2, 1995, at the King of France Tavern in Annapolis, Walkin’ After Midnight documents the much-missed vocalist alongside an unusual lineup, accompanied only by Chris Biondo on bass, Keith Grimes on electric guitar, and guest violinist Bruno Nasta, adding a fresh dynamic to the performance.
